Booking and Cancellations

Because we are a small inn, reservations are extremely important to our business. Like most bed and breakfast establishments, any reservation must be cancelled or changed no later than 14 days in advance before the check-in time. Cancellations before 14 days of your arrival date will be refunded minus a $25.00 processing fee.

What we can do.

We do suggest contacting a travel insurance company or checking an existing policy you might have that has travel insurance included. 

We also know that emergencies can come up. Please contact us if an emergency does prohibit you from staying during your booked dates. No refunds will be given, but we might be able to offer a gift certificate for a later stay. 


Checking In/Out

Check in times are between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily. Check out time is no later than 11:00 a.m. 

What we can do.

If you arrive early, we can store your bags for you. Simply drop them off with us and come back after 3:00 p.m..

If you need to check out later in the day, please let us know as soon as possible.


Pets

Due to pet allergies, we can not allow pets inside the facilities. 

What we can do.

We do suggest contacting a local kennel business if you need to travel with your pet.

Pets are very much allowed in the yard and porch under owner's supervision at all times.


Smoking and Flamed Candles

Due to fire and health reasons, smoking of any type (e.g., cigarettes, pipes, cigars, ecigarettes, etc.) or burning fire-flamed candles are not permitted anywhere on the property, including outside.

What we can do.

We do have battery-operated candles (flameless) in each room. Additional flameless candles are available upon request. 


Please note that due to the age of the facilities, the Inn is not wheelchair accessible. All suites are on the second floor and require using stairs. 

We cannot make dietary accommodations after 48 hours upon your arrival.

What we can do.

If any guest needs assistance to their room or around the facilities, please let the innkeeper know. We will do our best to assist.

We can make most dietary accommodations happen. We just need 48 hours notice.

Part of Northfield Inn's core principles of business is constantly finding ways to lower our ecological footprint. With that said, bed and bathroom linens will not be changed during your stay. 

What we can do.

If your stay is more than two days or you ask, we will gladly change the bed and bathroom linens.

Each suite is designed for two people. 

What we can do.

We do have roll-a-way beds upon request. An additional fee may be assessed.

Occupancy


Northfield Inn offers breakfast, happy hour, and beverages and snacks anytime to our guests. Breakfast is served in the dining room, your suite, or to go from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. daily. Happy hour is from 5:00 to 6:00 daily. 

What we can do.

We do serve a glass of wine to each guest over age 21 during happy hour. You can also bring your own beverage to the Inn. We ask that you be respectful to other guests and drink responsibly. 

Meals and Alcoholic Beverages
